About me

I am passionate about supporting people as they recover from injury. As a future Physical Therapist, I hope to put a smile on their face as they work through their recovery. Working with Physical Therapists has changed my life and gotten me back on my feet multiple times. I am a student-athlete at IU Indy studying Exercise Science and participating in the Cross Country and Track teams. I love to fish and draw from time to time but besides that, during my free time, I enjoy going to Lake Michigan when I am back at home in Chesterton or playing Ultimate Frisbee. I am in the Christian Student Fellowship, Pre-PT, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes clubs here at IU Indy. I went to Chesterton High School near Lake Michigan in the region, the only area in Indiana where the time zone is Central time.

ABOUT ME CTD.

Growing up, I have always enjoyed helping children; from volunteering at my local church to help with children with disabilities, to working at a Boy's and Girl's Club to provide a positive environment for kids where they could just be kids while in my hands. My mentor, Dave Ausema, taught me how to treat people with respect, use the golden rule. He has been a family friend since I can remember and has been there during my high school cross country meets, my high school graduation, and my signing when I committed to run for IU Indy. He continues to inspire me in how I live and it has influenced the type of person I am today and why I want to become a physical therapist.
